This movement isn’t about pay-to-play or self-promotion—it’s about kuleana, honoring those who truly embody positive impact. Every listing on this site is a Local Diamond—a gem whose work uplifts community, protects ʻāina, and shines with aloha.
Your role is just as important. Whether you are kamaʻāina (local) or malihini (tourist), a cultural practitioner or a visitor, you can kōkua (help) in meaningful ways. Here’s how you can get involved:
1. Suggest a Listing
The businesses, kūpuna, healers, artists, and grassroots organizations featured here have earned their place through kuleana, not cash. You can help us discover more Diamonds.
Nominate a Diamond: Share with us the people or places making real impact in Hawaiʻi. Every suggestion is reviewed carefully to ensure it aligns with our values of aloha, mālama ʻāina, authenticity, and positive impact.
Shine a Light: When you uplift a Diamond, you help amplify their story so others can support them too.
2. Share Your Moʻolelo
Stories are the heartbeat of Hawaiʻi. They carry mana, connect generations, and inspire action.
Submit a Story: Share about a kūpuna, a cultural practice or historical event, a community effort, or your own journey of mālama ʻāina. Your moʻolelo helps build bridges between people, culture, and land.
3. Support Local, Always
Every choice matters. Supporting local creators, farmers, musicians, and practitioners strengthens Hawaiʻi’s resilience.
Shop Local: Seek out artisans and farmers whose work honors culture and sustainability.
Attend Local Events: Celebrate together at gatherings that uplift community, culture, and environment.
4. Become a Community Contributor
Your gifts can magnify aloha. Writers, photographers, filmmakers, educators, and storytellers—your contributions are welcome.
