Based in Makaweli Valley, West Kauaʻi, Aloha ʻĀina Poi Co. is a farmer‑owned enterprise grounded in ʻāina‑based community enrichment, economic sovereignty, and cultural resurgence. They produce high‑quality poi & kulolo, lead youth programs, and strengthen the farming network in West Kauaʻi.

Mission & Philosophy

Their mission is to empower the next generation of farmers through revitalizing traditional practices, restoring ʻāina, and weaving culture with enterprise. In partnership with Kumano I Ke Ala, they run education, outreach, and mentorship initiatives in West Kauaʻi.

  • Mālama Waimea River Project — Community volunteers restoring and caring for the Waimea watershed
  • Aloha ʻĀina Afterschool — Middle & high school youth engage in ecological, agricultural, and cultural learning
  • ʻIke Outreach — Hands-on visits with K–12 students, focusing on sustainability, Hawaiian cultural knowledge, and food systems
  • Noke Mau Mentorship — Supporting ʻohana, at-risk youth, and adults through land-based mentorship, skills, and care
