Hawaiʻi law provides certain protections from civil liability for people who, in good faith and without expectation of payment, provide emergency care to someone in need. Hawaiʻi law also provides certain protections for the good-faith use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) when attempting to resuscitate a person in immediate danger of loss of life.
